Its decades later, Flynn the software developer has been missing for some time and his grown son has figured him gone for good. Bruce Boxleitner comes along, says some cryptic things, and boom we are back in the world of tron. Flynn the program, who looks like he hasnt aged (programs tend to do that), is still alive and kicking and raising hell.
That seems to be what I can gleen from the trailer, which also showcases some of the new CG effects involving the arena, lightcycles, and a hoooooot Olivia Wilde kicking it in Tron Unitard chic. Just the pounding, pulsating music in the trailer is enough to force an investment in some Depends for the December 17 release date, and shows us how far we've come technologically since the early eighties.
